Professor Katrina Navickas will speak on her recent book “Contested Commons“. This covers the history of the fight for spaces to politically protest and restrictive policing and legislation. She covers the campaigns from the opposition to enclosures up to present day struggles. The meeting is organised jointly with Five Leaves Bookshop.

General Strike 100 years
We will also have more events to commemorate the centenary of the General Strike in 1926, including our display and talks in Chesterfield around the May Day weekend and in Nottingham in June.
